#Singaporeans - we aren't all that bad
Monday, February 1, 2010 @ 1:39 AM

When you people mention Singapore, the first thing that come's to people's minds would be kiasu-ism, kay-poh, rowdy, selfish, so on. But today, I would like to bring on a new face of Singapore, I guess i could call it he flipside of Singaporeans. You might ask me: " Get real! Singaporeans just have all these ugly trademarks with them, besides having a clean and green environment, what do we have.
Well, I guess Singapore does have all these notorious trademarks, i would call them. But did you know that we Singaporeans actually make use of these trademarks in a positive way? Take parents for example. Did you know that Singaporean parents are actually very concerned about their Children's well-being, academic matters, daily life etc. ? They might actually be Kiasu, like hanging out at bookstores all day, all comparing marks etc, .__. , but do we ever ask why they actually do this? Their main intention I would call, would be that their Children would have a bright future, a good job next time, a high salary, have a comfortable life, and did you know that with all these notions and ambitions for their children, Singaporean parents are willing to sacrifice for their son's sake?
They actually don't spend time dressing up much, they come home dead-tired from work, pretend to have a unfaltered smile on their faces and carry on teaching their children homework and some parents even give up their job, just to be with their children "Full-time".
So I hope that by reading this example of how Singaporeans are not just all so, well, "Singaporean", that you will just stop and see the good side of Singaporeans, and remove their long-ago expired stereotype off them.

i'm like the ringleader,

i call the shots.
