Friendship. It is the element that keeps all living beings happy, and I am no exception. Actually, friendship is not as easy as it sounds like. It slips away easily, but it comes quite hard. For example, I, like all my other fellow 1996-born friends, have stepped in to a new world, new dimension, of Secondary School Life. At first, friends are hard to make. Maybe its easier to make friends when you were in Primary 1 or 2 because most of us then were simple-minded and were all very sociable. But I guess I have just found out that as we get older, our personalities change. Everyone is different in one way or another, but I am not saying thats wrong, but I feel that that is harder to make friends. Thus friends should be treasured.
However, losing friends is much harder than gaining friends. The pain of losing a companion that has stuck by your side for a couple of years through thick and thin' is much to be treasured. Take my old friend for example. He was from the same primary school as me and sadly, he has migrated to Canada. Canada is a nice place, I know, but the thought of losing one of my best buddies, and he having to make new friends in a totally foreign place is totally disheartening.
Anyways, just remember, treasure your friends like how you treasure others.
